Making an appointment
Appointments are preferred but not essential and each appointment is for one patient only.
Please let the receptionist know if you would like to book a long appointment or if you need to book for additional family members. Sometimes delays can occur due to emergencies and other circumstances beyond our control but we do our best to minimize your waiting time.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please phone the clinic to cancel so that we can offer that appointment time to another patient.
Home visits are covered by our doctors for regular patients of the clinic within a 5km radius of Coburg. Please call 9354-7050, if you may require a home visit
Our Doctors also make to local nursing homes and hostels visits.
After hours care
For after-hours home visits, please call ALMS on Ph: 132660; please notify operator that you are a patient of Doctors of Coburg North. If you have a valid Medicare card, you will be bulk billed.
Telephoning your doctor
Doctors in this practice may be contacted by phone during normal surgery hours. If the doctor is with a patient, a message will be taken and your call returned as soon as possible. If your call is urgent, you will always be put straight through to the doctor.
Prescriptions may be written during a consultation. If you need repeat prescriptions, we ask that you make an appointment to see one of our doctors, where the condition for which the prescriptions are written can be checked.
Referrals to a specialist may be made during the consultation. Standard referrals are valid for one year so please ensure you book an appointment before your referral runs out.
Our practice is committed to preventative care. You will receive reminder notices for health care services appropriate to your care. If you do not want this service please let the doctor know.
