Appointments

Making an appointment

Appointments are essential to help us provide timely, high-quality, and personalised care for all our patients.

We encourage all patients to book an appointment before attending the clinic. While we will make every effort to accommodate walk-in patients when possible, availability cannot be guaranteed and waiting times may be longer.

Each appointment is allocated for one patient only. If more than one family member requires medical attention, please book a separate appointment for each person to ensure adequate consultation time and the best possible care.

Appointments type

  • Standard consult ( 15 mins)
  • Long consult ( 30 mins)
  • Mental health consult ( 30 mins)

Please let the receptionist know if you would like to book a long appointment or if you need to book for additional family members. Sometimes delays can occur due to emergencies and other circumstances beyond our control but we do our best to minimize your waiting time.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please phone the clinic to cancel so that we can offer that appointment time to another patient.

Home visits

Please call 9354-7050, if you may require a home visit

After hours care

For after-hours home visits, please call Doctor Doctor on Ph: 132 660; please notify operator that you are a patient of Doctors of Coburg North. If you have a valid Medicare card, you will be bulk billed.

Telephoning your doctor

Doctors in this practice may be contacted by phone during normal surgery hours. If the doctor is with a patient, a message will be taken and your call returned as soon as possible. If your call is urgent, you will always be put straight through to the doctor.

Prescription

Prescriptions may be written during a consultation. If you need repeat prescriptions, we ask that you make an appointment to see one of our doctors, where the condition for which the prescriptions are written can be checked.

Referrals

Referrals to a specialist may be made during the consultation. Standard referrals are valid for one year so please ensure you book an appointment before your referral runs out.

Reminder system

Our practice is committed to preventative care. You will receive reminder notices for health care services appropriate to your care. If you do not want this service please let the doctor know.

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO BILLING POLICY
Doctors of Coburg North – Bulk Billing Returns
From 1 November 2025, we are resuming Bulk Billing
We’re excited to share that Doctors of Coburg North will revert to Bulk Billing for all eligible Medicare card holders from 1 November 2025.

This means no gap fees for most standard consultations, ensuring our patients continue to receive quality healthcare that’s accessible and affordable.

Please keep in mind:

Private fees still apply for certain procedures, forms, pre-employment medicals, and non-Medicare services.
Patients must present a current Medicare card and photo ID at the time of their visit.
Pathology, allied health, and external services may have separate billing arrangements.
We appreciate your ongoing support as we continue our commitment to community-focused care.
